GET STARTED WITH YOUR FUND-RAISER NOW! THIS IS HOW YOU
DO IT: 1. Contact Idea4Idea at fund-raiser@idea4idea.com and describe your fund-raiser and the timeframe. Idea4Idea will decide if the purpose
of the fund-raiser is consistent with the principles of Idea4Idea to encourage positive ideas and actions and positive world
change. (The focus of your fund-raiser does not necessarily have to be peace, green-living, and health.) 2. If Idea4Idea agrees to partner with you in the fund-raiser, then
you will be sent specific instructions about how to proceed along with samples of email and letter templates you can distribute
to potential contributors. 3. For your part in the fund-raiser,
you will need to email or write your family, relatives, friends, associates, colleagues to let them know that you are
fund-raising for your group or cause and you would like them to donate. As you would in any fund-raiser, tell them why
you are raising funds. It is also important to give them a period of time and deadline for sending in their donation.
4. Let
them know that you are partnering with Idea4Idea in the fund-raiser. Share with them that the mission
of Idea4Idea is to honor ideas and actions for peace, green-living, and health and encourage positive habits for positive
world change. 35% of their contribution will go to sustain and perpetuate the mission of Idea4Idea. 65% of
their contribution will go to your fund-raiser. 5. Give them instructions on how to donate. With a one dollar
donation, they also donate an idea or action for peace, green-living, or health. The ideas or
actions can be very simple or very complex (e.g. "I recycle my cans and bottles every week" (action) or "I
want to set up a foundation to help children in poverty..." (idea)). The donated ideas and actions will be
posted on the Idea4Idea website on behalf of your group or cause and will be shared with the
world to set a role model and inspire current and future generations to adopt positive daily habits for world change. The
more ideas and actions you can generate and share, the more examples we set and the momentum grows. People
can make monetary and idea/action donations quickly online by going to a specific Idea4Idea website url or they
can donate by mail (information about the url and mailing address will be given to you when Idea4Idea agrees
to partner in your fund-raiser). 6. At the end of
the fund-raising period or at agreed-upon time intervals, Idea4Idea will mail you a check for your 65% of the total donation
amount received.

Let's do the math to show how it works! As an example,
suppose a school class, or group, or organization has 25 members and each member emails 10 people to request
donations for the fund-raiser. If just 4 of the 10 people contacted by each member actually respond and send
in donations of $1.00 (the cost of a coke or a candy bar) along with an idea or action, then you collect $65.00
(65% of $100). In addition to the $65.00, you also have 100 ideas or actions for peace, green-living, and health posted
on behalf of your school or group or organization on the Idea4Idea website. If your members email more people and/or
more people respond and/or people make donations larger than $1.00 (all of which are possible), you can raise
much more than $65.00! In the example above, if the 25 members in the group make this effort every month, you
could easily generate $65 X 12 or $780 or more from just 25 members of a group in one year.

Let's talk about time: Think about the time it takes for one person in a group to send out 10 or more emails to family and
friends. It is minimal. Think about the time it will take your family and friends to donate. If they donate
online, the time is minimal. If they do so by mail, it may take them only 15 minutes or so. Compare
this time to the time it takes to do a bake sale or car wash or to sell candy bars!

What's the benefit? You may ask, what is the benefit to the people who donate since they do not get a
cookie, brownie, or candy bar, etc.? First of all, they are donating to two important causes. They are
donating to your fund-raiser and they are also donating their own idea or action to help set an example
and leave a legacy to make the world a better place to live. They are making a personal contribution and investment
in a bank of ideas and actions that will generate great future returns. If we engage in repeated ideas and
actions for peace, green-living, and health, we can achieve these goals through the shear momentum and force of habit. As you know, people will pay to walk or run a 5K. Why? Because they
know that physical exercise is a good habit and makes them healthy. This fund-raiser is no different. Engaging
in the exercise of sharing an idea or action for peace, green-living, and health is just as good a habit and helps the
world stay healthy.
So, go forth and fund-raise! At
the same time you raise money, both you, the donors, and the world benefit from the creativity and altruism of the people
who donate their shared ideas and actions for peace, green-living, and health. You will benefit from both
the monetary donation as well as the influence of positive ideas and actions. For schools, scout troops, and any
organization, this is a win-win. It is a fund-raiser that gives not only to you, but also to the world! Use this
opportunity to learn and inspire your school, class, group, or organization to engage in promoting peace,
green-living, and health in the world.
